Sensei Smoyer started his martial arts career in 1976 in the art of Philipino Kali, and in Danzan Ryu jujitsu in 1990. A member of Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai, Sensei Bert currently holds the rank of Nidan, 2nd degree black belt.
